Lately I’ve come to some sad realizations about myself as a fashionista. I can do some pretty great makeup, I’ve got a decent accessory collection, and I know how to pull an outfit together more or less. But my shoe game is weaker than weak. And it’s all because of my flat, flat feet.
As you saw in my previous post, I’ve got foot issues. So what’s a bella to do when she’s about to hit the town and wants to look fly? I just found out an answer that I’d like to share with you.
Scarpasa.com. It’s the one stop shop for any woman who wants to be stylish but laments a lack of selection of low-heeled, chic shoes. These are handpicked by Scarpasa for quality, so the prices can be kind of steep. But if you’ve looked everywhere and still can’t find cute kicks for your aching dogs, put Scarpasa on your radar. Here are the hottest pairs from the site!
Recently I was sent a pair of Pons Quintana Andrea flats, and they are even more amazing in person. The glitzy jewel detail and flexible rubber sole means I’ll be wearing these babies all over NYC for Fashion Week, and the leather’s so soft it will bring Lil Wayne instantly to mind.
Now that I’ve had a taste of what Scarpasa has to offer, I’m fiending for more! Finally a store that caters to my footwear needs, and their Fall collection is full of new trends I’m excited to explore.
I’m still on the fence about the menswear-inspired footwear trend. It strikes me as very Nineties, en route to grunge but stuck in that Blossom/Paula Poundstone area of style. But the Laia booties by Homers takes on the trend with the kind of style I can get down with. Suede, lace up, funky. I’d rock these with a maxi dress – but trust me, I won’t look like Elaine Benes.
The Raquel “pumps” by Biondini combine a bunch of trends I L-O-V-E for Fall! Purple, suede, floral details, and studs? And the chunky heel looks comfortable enough to walk for blocks and blocks. Cute in camel, but even cuter in purple. Love these!
The Luisa sandals by Gino Ventori may be low heeled but nobody can deny their sex appeal. Pair with a deep, dark pedicure for instant glam.
Like I said, the shoes at Scarpasa aren’t cheap – prices generally range from $100 to $400, but you’re shopping from a curated, high quality collection. So if you’re like me, and you need to step up your shoe game but still put your comfort first – look no further.
What are your favorite picks from Scarpasa, bellas? Have you found any sexy, trendy yet comfortable low heeled shoes recently?

I love a great pair of (low) heels to set an outfit off right. Props to the women who can rock 6 inch stilettos but that is not me lol

This is nice to know, just wish I would have known about this place several weeks ago before I left the U.S. I would have gotten a few of those babies. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh my. That first pair is fabulous and PERFECT for NYC!

As usual, your post is right on time!
I’ve been on an stylish-but-comfortable shoe quest for a few weeks now. Same issue for me: flat feet (like people see my lack of any discernible arch and be like DAMN!, as if they wonder how I walk upright).
After fruitless and frustrating shopping trips (I mean, I’m TRYING to give you people my money!!!), I found Aldo.
Bought three pairs this weekend, including this adorable felt grey ballerina flat with a ribbon detail. The ribbon really makes the shoe fit like a glove, without the annoying gaping at the ankle I sometimes get with the regular slip-ons. Check ’em out! http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/women/shoes/flats/80152513-quinci/12
