We live in an age where technology influences and innovates everything around us. It’s a rapidly shifting landscape where everything around is being tweaked and updated to user-friendly perfection. Model 1 of a product is bound to be way more clunky and basic than future iterations. I’ve been trying, testing and reviewing a variety of beauty tech items for a while now and I’m happy to let you know which are worth your attention and investment. These are 5 of my faves that I keep coming back to. Here we go!
Clarisonic has been a fave from day one. The popular skin cleansing system has seen quite a bit of change since it was named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things back in 2007. The device has become sleeker and more refined over time. The latest iterations are the Mia 3 (which is reminiscent of the typical models you may be familiar with), and the substantially more compact Mia Fit for ladies and Alpha Fit for men (excellent idea for men with short beards). If you like a cleansing brush, you should look no further.
The Foreo Luna is the latest face cleansing device to make major waves, and a lot of that has to do with its appearance. With those little silicone bristles, it’s cute and unique for sure. I’m happy to also tell you that it’s effective. Foreo’s T-Sonic technology makes for gentler exfoliation and also has an anti-aging massage mode that is soothing and reportedly (and hopefully) effective. I love how it feels. The pic you see above is of the Foreo Luna Mini, which is obviously smaller and comes in bolder colors!
I’ve been rocking with the Huetiful Hair Steamer for years now and it continues to work for me, especially in winter months when the air is so dry. My hair needs moisture to thrive, and regular use of the Huetiful makes a noticeable difference in the appearance of my hair. I love using it with really thick deep conditioning treatments, it enhances their abilities in my opinion (and experience)! Huetiful makes their own hair products — including an intriguing Macadamia Nut Deep Repair Masque. Most recently, I used my Huetiful with the super thick and decadently rich Bekura Beauty Y.A.M Nectar Hydrating Hair Nourisher and LOVED the results.
If you love a facial and want to recreate the experience at home, definitely check out the Panasonic Nano Spa Quality Facial Steamer, it’s like bringing the spa to you. I like the size of the device and fact I can also use it for my back and chest (although obviously it’s intended and shaped for the face). If you’re really into at-home facials, masking, double cleansing, all that stuff – this is a worthwhile investment in your overall skincare regimen. It’s definitely made a difference to me, being able to control the steam, open up my pores and allowing my skin to breathe has led to less congestion and more clarity. ALSO if you’re prone to liking steam for your sinuses, this is an option.
If you’re like me and your feet aren’t as soft as they used to be, check out the Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File. It’s number one in the foot files department for a reason — it’s a game changer. It’s made a huge different for my heels and callused, dry areas. I always reach for this before I get a pedicure (because I don’t want strangers judging my feet! Hahahahaha sad).
I try out many different kinds of beauty gadgets, but those are the ones that stay most regularly in rotation. For more, check out my latest post on beauty tech via Mode!

I’m very curious about Huetiful. Once my hair grows back, I’m going to pick up one.
