Of all the vast number of things in this world that I wish I had the talent to do, drawing would be number two. Singing would be number one. I was an art minor in college but despite the fun I had in oil painting and ceramics classes, the clear and undeniable takeaway is that some people do art classes because they’re awesome at making art, and some people do art classes because they’re fun and a creative outlet. I was always clearly in the latter camp. In my art classes, I would gaze in admiration tinged with envy at the people who could really, truly DRAW. It’s a pure talent.
My friend, fashion illustrator and up and coming designer Veronica-Marché Miller, can DRAW. Prints of her work are available for sale via RedBubble (including her stylish holiday cards). Her special holiday line of gift bags are available right now at select TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores (I’m going to search all over Chicago for them)! And she’s begun a blogger fashion illustration series with yours truly! CHECK IT OUT!
I’m in LOVE with this drawing, bellas. And here’s the original look it was inspired by – from the BlogHer fashion show, where I wore Monif C’s sold out Lourdes dress in the finale. BAM!
Thank you Veronica for capturing this moment for artistic posterity! I LOVE it so much!
