When these stunning sisters make appearances, thousands of eager fans show up to hear their story as they grew from sister entrepreneurs to co-CEO’s of Miss Jessie’s, purveyor of some of the most popular natural products on the market, and to learn more about their role in the natural hair movement. On May 6th from 1 to 6 pm, Miko and Titi will be back in Chicago to do just that at the Chicago Natural Beauty Expo. “We got such a warm welcome from Chicago last year that we really wanted to come back and this event was a perfect fit,” says Titi.
The Chicago Natural Beauty Expo will be co-hosted by Chicago’s own natural beauty blogger and makeup artist Rachel O and Jacqueline Tarrant (Author and Editor of “Ask Jacqueline” in Sophisticate’s Black Hair) will be on hand to share her wit and wisdom. And besides all of that, there’ll be a spring fashion show, local vendors and complimentary Miss Jessie’s goodie bags! The whole shebang will be hosted by King MC and the tunes will be provided by DJ Cruize Control.

I’m not trying to be hateful. Really truly. I can’t support anyone who charges an arm and 1/2 leg for products that promotes a certain hair type, when we know good and well that it’s not attainable for a lot of natural sisters. I believe these sisters made a mint on not embracing all nappy hair but feeding into the waves and curls good hair mentality
