Mother’s Day will be this Sunday, hopefully you’re well aware! Just in case you’re like so many of us and are waiting until today to hit the mall in a panic – relax. I got your back with some natural hair-related recommendations.
First stop, Sephora! There are some fabulous hair gift sets there. If you’ve got loose curls, the Ouidad Curl Essentials Starter Kit could be just what the doctor ordered. And if you’re putting together a cute gift basket, the Phyto Dry Hair Set to Go is a winner at $12. But for moms with moisture-deprived, natural hair, the Ojon Hydrating Ritual Kit or the Shine and Protect Kit are so the way to go. Those four piece discovery kits are $39.
Before Mother’s Day, you should enter the Carol’s Daughter Notes to My Mother contest to vie for the ultimate mother-daughter trip to New Orleans, or a limited edition Mother’s Day gift set. If you don’t want to roll the dice and hope you win a prize for your mom, get her the Healthy Hair Goddess package. It comes with a Goddess Rollerpen, Black Vanilla Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner, a Tui Jojoba and Shea Butter Hair Sheen, a bottle of classic Hair Milk, and a Carol’s Daughter comb, all for $49.
What am I getting my Mama Bella for her special day? A session on Skype so we can see each other and catch up, for now. The gifts are in the mail, en route to Trinidad!
What did you get your mom for Mother’s Day this year?

Love your blog!! Long time lurker. Any way, this year we are going the healthy way. I signed my mom and me up for a Mother’s Day walk/run at a local park. It will be 4.67 miles. My sister is joining us too. Then back to my house for brunch. I’m so excited!!

My parents recently moved to Florida so all my mom complains about beautywise is her hair frizzing. So I did my bought her the t3 tourmaline wet dry flat iron (since she straightens her hair a lot) My best friend swears by hers and plus it’s hot pink which makes a cute mother’s day gift 🙂

I sent my mom a card and we had our daily chat. My mom doesn’t want anything but to hear from her kids. She tends to buy whatever she wants. Maybe next year, I’ll be able to go home for a visit.
