Bellas and fellas!! I’m SO beyond excited and proud to share the big news! My amiga for life Luvvie of Awesomely Luvvie (and fifty-leven other websites), and I have been approved and credentialed to cover the 2012 Academy Awards & the Oscar Red Carpet!!!
(This is COMPLETELY different from the CVS Beauty Club contest (my dear friend Nadine Jolie WON and she will be covering the People’s Choice Awards)!)
Luvvie and I will be doing coverage for ourselves, and you’ll get to read a LOT of it right here on Afrobella.com and AwesomelyLuvvie.com! EXCITED IS NOT THE WORD!!!!
When I first got the news that we had been credentialed, I didn’t quite know what to do with myself. I seriously couldn’t quite believe this was REAL. AND I get to experience this with one of my best friends and someone who I am guaranteed to have a good time with? AMAZING! I spent a good day or so just basking in the glory of the good news and sharing it with my friends and family. Now all of the questions are starting to hit me. Like…what will I wear?? People are giving me all kinds of suggestions on Facebook and Twitter already!
Here on Afrobella.com you can expect upcoming reviews of the nominated films, and of course the epic search for an Oscar dress, and MUCH much more. At the end of February we’ll be heading out to Los Angeles and I hope you’ll be following our red carpet adventures @afrobella and @luvvieig — you know we’ll be sharing our experiences and opinions as we see the stars head down the red carpet on their way into the most highly anticipated of all the awards shows.
