Really happy and honored to share that this month I’m being celebrated by popular daytime program The Real, as one of their Black Girl Trailblazers. Click here to watch!
It’s really a remarkable feeling to get these moments of validation, to remind me of my purpose and my path. I don’t take any of it for granted. This August will be 12 years of Afrobella and I’m proud to still just BE here, still working diligently, still happy to share information that uplifts and inspires, still shining a light on our beauty in all of its shapes, sizes, tones and textures. It is a beautiful thing, and this clip serves as such an on-time reminder.
My dad and I just discussed this video clip, and my parents are so proud of me. Truly that means more than anything else. My dad brought up the fact that I came from a small, Caribbean island to the United States and worked hard to make a name for myself. That I have managed to create and sustain my own career path. At this juncture, sometimes I find myself wondering if I am still on the right path, if I am still making an impact and using my voice and fulfilling my purpose. This serves as a confirmation and a reminder. Thank you for recognizing me, The Real! Real recognizes real, right?

Black hair is always versatile because you can style it and comb it any way you like. Check this one out somebody because I find great healthy hair results with stabilized aloe vera based shampoo which i came across on http://www.americanaloe.flp.com
