Summer, you’ve been fun. A LOT of fun. We’ve had our share of adventures and I’ll never forget you. But right now, our time is coming to an end. Like sands through the hourglass, you’re running out on me. It is just about time for it to be fall. And that means it’s time for fall fashion and fall beauty. I am READY! I love the colors that are ushered in at this time of year. The leaves turn red, orange and yellow. Fashion tends to take a turn to deep primary colors and sexy metallics. And beauty gets darker and deeper and more intense, especially when it comes to lips. I am HERE for a fierce fall lipstick!
Throughout the season I’ll share some of my favorite fall beauty finds. Here’s the first one! It’s the most fabulous purple lipstick. Behold, L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Mystic Kiss.
Originally released as part of L’Oreal’s limited edition Project Runway collection, you can still find tubes available on Drugstore.com and Amazon. This purple is HOT.
The formulation of the lipstick is creamy and rich, and it isn’t at all drying. The purple reminds me a bit of All Of My Purple Life, to be honest – it looks super grape in the tube, but when applied it takes on subtler nuances. Here I’m wearing it solo. But when layered over a more fuchsia lip pencil or under a deeper eggplant gloss? It’s a great fall lipstick. And it’s under $10.
