When my hair is at it’s dirtiest and knottiest and most difficult, when I haven’t had a chance to give it a good wash or comb it out in a week, there’s one product I reach for before all others. That’d be Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery. It is THE BUSINESS.
There are a lot of deep conditioning treatments on the market, and trust me, I have tried a number of them. But I gotta admit, when Titi Branch told me they were coming out with this particular product, I already knew I was going to love it. Back when I interviewed her, she said that the treatment was something they used exclusively in the salon. “It’s great. It really helps to repair dry and split ends, and to bring moisture to your curly hair. Curly hair really looks best when it’s moisturized, conditioned, plump, and happy,” she said at the time. Well now I’ve had the chance to try it, and Titi was so right.
Especially now when the weather is cold and your hair is exposed to harsher elements, or tucked away under a hat, deep treatments make the world of difference. Miss Jessie’s salons use Rapid Recovery under a dryer, and to keep your hair strong and healthy, I’d strongly recommend investing in a conditioning heat cap. I have that Gold n’ Hot model and I feel like a dork when I wear it, but it really makes my hair feel healthier and behave more like I like it to. Fortnightly treatments of Rapid Recovery with my heat cap has made a real difference to my hair.
Titi explained what makes this stuff so special: “What’s great about this product is its ability to supremely moisturize and hydrate dry brittle hair. Specifically for natural hair and naturally curly hair, dryness is always an issue. Shea butter and avocado cream oil (hydrogenated vegetable oil) are the foundation ingredients that aid in penetration for a rich radiant sheen that produces a smooth tangle free curl.”
I might as well just out myself as a Miss Jessie’s stan right now. I had real reservations about the price point way back when, but having tried the products, I know now that there’s a real reason that post that I wrote back in August 2006 has over 100 comments of bellas testifying. Now that Miss Jessie’s has come out with smaller sizes, I have no complaints. I can wrap my mind around a $9 2 oz jar of product, and for the Curly Pudding, that 2 oz can go a longer way than you might think. Not so sure about stretching a jar of Rapid Recovery, though. I have a pretty thick mane, and that recommended “golf ball size dollop” sometimes needs a little extra heft. And $48 is a lot to shell out for a product if you’re a bella on a budget. So here’s a little Thanksgiving cheer for you all. It’s the Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery giveaway!
Five lucky bellas can win a tub of Rapid Recovery of their very own. Just leave a comment that begins by saying “I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!” and tell me why you could use a little Rapid Recovery. I’ll announce the winners next week, when I return from my Thanksgiving getaway. I’ll also be announcing the Kinky Curly winners then, because the Thanksgiving madness swept me away. Apologies, bellas.
Worried you won’t be one of the lucky five? You’re STILL in luck. Miss Jessie’s is currently offering a buy one get one free deal! So you can treat yourself to the product you’ve been needing, and score the other item you had your eye on. Or even better, if you’ve never tried Miss Jessie’s and want to know what each product is all about, you can pick up the Travel Size Value Pack and get 2 oz sizes of everything.
Happy shopping, bellas, and happy Thanksgiving!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!
I have curls that make a beautiful fro but get tangled easily. I have been wearing my fro out for a week and I was thinking wow, I need to wash, reconditon and comb out. My hair is dry because I live in Las Vegas(the desert)first and foremost and now it is winter time. Every since Thermasilk conditioner has been discontinued, I’ve been reluctant to go through the process of washing and conditioning, etc. I love to try this. Help!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! My husband and I are stationed in Germany. My hair becomes so brittle and dry here. It’s hard to find products in the BX and economy. The only way I survive is by buying products online. Thank God for Apo/Fpo mailing otherwise I would be in real trouble. I’m learning that Deep conditioning is a must for natural hair and my hair needs it. I love my hair but I know if I had more moisture it would make a huge difference.
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!
Danielle
I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! My hair is extremely thick and coarse and has a tendency to dry out pretty quickly, even living in one of the most humid cities imaginable, Baltimore. And now that it’s finally getting cold my hair is drying out even more quickly than ever. I usually need to use about 10 times more the recommended amount of any conditioner and oil I use just to get my hair to look and behave the way I want to. I think this product could make a huge difference. Thanks so much!
Jennifer
I need Miss Jessie’s in my LIFE! 🙂 My hair is extremely dry, thirsty, and semi-matted because of this winter weather. I am a HUGE FAN of the Buttercremes so I’d love to be able to try the Rapid Recovery Treatment as well. Please, Afrobella….PIMP MY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

Afrobella! I am so in love with your blog! I joined thedailyplate.com and hungrygirl.com after you mentioned them in a post a while back, lost TWENTY LBS! ((probably more like 10 now after that Thanksgiving dinner))
Girl… I NEED Miss Jessie’s in my life! All my natural friends swear by miss jessie’s but being the broke college student that i am… well you know how it is… 🙂 Right now i’m trying to act like I still live in the South by using the same products (Cantu Break Cure and Fantasia IC Aloe gel) when I come to school in the Midwest. it worked out at first, but my hair just gets drier and frizzier by the day! Its just going to blow off my head like nappy tumbleweed one of these days.
Afrobella! Help a sister out!

I need Ms. Jessies in my life!!!
I’m a new natural and new to caring for my hair well. My hair is dry and my curls could use conditioning.

I Need Miss Jessie’s in my life I’ve always wanted to try Miss Jessies products due to the amount of reviews I’ve come across. However would it make much difference with natural hair with no curl definition? The best thing I’ve ever done for myself is embraced my natural hair and love it for what it is. Most importantly I need it to help my younger sister who in turn has kinky curly hair. I thought what better way to expose her to a beautiful mane and how to care for it better. Its winter and snowing now, there is so much love during this holiday season.

“I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!†because I have very dry kinky hair and so does my daughter. This rapid recovery treatment sounds like it would do the trick and I would love to try some more of this product line. I have been inspired to transition so that my daughter can have someone to see in her life that looks like her.

“I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!†because I am a broke, transitioning college student and my hair is in dire straits! LOL. I need a really good deep conditioner that will make my hair easier to manage.

This is strange – why does everyone start out their comment with “I need Miss Jessies in my life”? Funny. I usually use Mizani Kerafuse deep conditioner. It’s the bomb. But I’ll try Miss Jessies. I used the Curly Meringue once and it made my hair smell like a pie. 🙂

Oh, haha, I get it. Bella – I didn’t know you were such a Miss Jessies fan?!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life because I have a teenage daughter who has been wearing her hair in its natural state for the last 4 years- her hair is very thick and dry(especially in the winter). We have tried EVERYTHING to add moisture to her hair and Miss Jessie’s sounds like it might just do the trick!

Why?
Because I am a 20 year old in the Army. I’m stuck here on deployment in South Korea and from going on field training exercises so much back in the states, my hair is literally the worst its ever been in my whole entire life. Its dry, brittle and short and I get teased about my hair ALL the time. The base exchange has a limited amount of hair products available and seriously, sometimes I want to cry when I look at my hair in the mirror. Thanks very much, if you can help me out.

I need Miss Jessies in my life because I’m at wits end. My last relaxer was in Dec ’06 and I just don’t know what to do anymore. I was so ecstatic to become natural but now I’m not so excited anymore. After shaving my head 3 times I finally want to get through this and grow it out but nothing seems to work. My hair stay dry, dull, and brittle. I can’t remember that last time I left my house without a hat on.

A very short scene from the upcoming stage play, “Please Lord, Send A Healing Balm For This Hair Of Mine Before I Break And Get A Touch-Up”
Me: (calling out in the middle of my frustrating transition)…”Miss Jessie…Miss Jessie? Are you there? I need you! My roots are beginning to sprout with the promise of natural beauty, and I need some Rapid Recovery to keep on keepin’ on!”
(frantically searching now) “Miss Jessie…oh, where are you, Miss Jessie?!! Aw, Lawd…I need Miss Jessie in my life!”
End of very short scene 🙂

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! When I decided to seek a doctor’s advice about my battle with poor concentration, poor memory, and little no attention span, she suggested a prescription drug to fight A.D.D. When I started the medication, I didn’t notice much of a difference. When I did some research on the prescrition, I found HUNDREDS of people who suffered hair loss. That’s when I realized that I too was suffering from hair loss. A day late and a dollar short, I rejected the advice of my doctor and saught after a holistic specialist who gave a natural avenue to heal myself inside and out…and it wasn’t A.D.D, it was POOR EATING HABITS & LACK OF EXERCISE! My hair is still traumatized by the side effects from the prescription, but at least I can FOCUS on what’s really important in life….peace

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life to repair my super dry hair. I have been natural for over a decade and for some reason..age? stress? my hair is splitting like crazy and just seems so “thirsty”. I have tried some leave in conditioners but inevitably I end up looking like I have serious dandruff problems because the leave in stuff flakes and cakes no matter what I do. Miss Jessie please rescue my thirsty strands!

I NEED MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE…………I JUST DO!!!! I REALLY, REALLY NEED ME SOME MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE, because it’s the end of my semester in Grad school and nice, shiny, moisturized curly hair would make me feel good and give me an extra boost during this stressful time.

“I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!†please help me in my battle to keep length – when i go for my trim every month i end up back at the same length because i ALWAYS have split ends – it’s so frustrating because i an using a moisturizer everyday – but recently i’ve been reading that the low-priced ethnic hair products sold in drugstores ain’t worth $hit and i’m devastated – i’m in between jobs right now and going on a lot of interviews so i’m on a tight budget and i can’t afford to be paying 10 or 20 dollars for any hair product – i had to borrow money just to get a new suit – please help me AFROBELLA – my dry damaged hair needs Miss Jessie’s – in closing, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of my beautiful sisters out there – and to those outside of the states, Happy Holidays!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life because being an African girl transplanted in the south of Germany (Black Forest) not only do I have no access to products suitable for my hair, but the minus temperatures we experience for 4months is torture for my hair. I NEED MISS JESSIES in my life. Three words..winter in Chicago. I’m two years into wearing my hair natural, and i wouldn’t want to loose most of my length to the elements that I’m going to be facing for the next4-5 months.

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! Why? I think it’s important to take good care of the curls you were born with, instead of trying to conform to some outdated beauty standard. I want to show every girlfriend and little girl (and man, for that matter) that natural curls are beautiful and God-given. Mine need help, they are dry and thirsty, and I have tried everything, hoping to find the perfect product.

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life,
because i recently did my first and LAST BIG CHOP(YEAH) which really changed my life, but after many years of chemicals, my hair is still the way is justed to be. I found alot of info about the products of miss Jessie’s, and i really want to try the products but i don’t have a chance to buy it, because I live in the netherlands, and there is not one store which sells Jessies products.
Also thx for the many informative articles on Afrobella.
Love,

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! afrobella, recently i was hospitalized for a week for a minor operation and i was given a ton of medicines and i’ve noticed my hair has changed texture and is mad dry and now my usual hair care ritual doesn’t seem to yield the same results as it used to i would love to be able to restore it to the former glory

WOW!!! I am currently on vacation – just awaoke from the tryptophan haze. Did NOT expect so many comments so soon! I’ll be closing comments and picking names on Monday afternoon, so get ’em in while you can, bellas.
RyanB – I am quite the Miss Jessie’s fan – I love that their products are specifically formulated for our hair issues, and they do work great for me. But Miss Jessie’s isn’t the only brand I use regularly — for daily styling, my top three product picks are Miss Jessie’s Curly Meringue, Kinky Curly Knot Today, or Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk. I ran out of Curls Milkshake and totally will order more of that soon. So I do like to switch it up. When I REALLY need moisture, I like the Curly Buttercreme, too.
Happy Thanksgiving to readers near and far. I love hosting these giveaways and spreading the product junkie love as much as I can. I’m working on a LOT more giveaways for December, so if you don’t win this one, keep trying!

I need Miss Jessies in my life… Because I am a afrobella living in London and I don’t have access to 1/4 of the fabolous products featured on your blog.

“I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!†I’ve been transitioning to natural hair for 3 years now, and i’m looking to get that moisturized plump soft and “Curly Look” that is so party rocking hot on natural women of color. My afro though soft tends to have alot of shrinkage, and I need all the help I can get to maintain that miss jessies look i’m so wanting. Though the salon closed before I could make an appointment, i’m still a BIG Miss Jessies fan!!!!

I really need Ms. Jessies in my life! I don’t know what to do about my hair’s dryness. It is very brittle and just does not keep moisture. I have tried a couple of deep conditioners but no single product has done the trick and I am really frustrated! I want to hope that this will be my saving grace!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! My cute, little afro is sad because she is so brittle and dry; even after trimming away her dead ends, she still won’t perk up. I have tried so many products to try to cheer her up, but it would seem that nothing will work. She did just perk up a bit at the mention of Miss Jessie’s… a little rapid recovery could go a long way… and just in time for the holidays!

I need Ms Jessie’s in my life! Or rather, my 10-year-old does! She has *snaps fingers* that much hair, but wants her natural twists to pop and shine just like mommy bella! Sadly, her hair always seems to be parched, and I think it just breaks right off as soon as it grows a little. Nothing seems to work. My baby bella needs some Ms Jessie’s in her life!

I NEED MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE BECAUSE:
I’m up at 5 in the morning,
with no time to spare
Its my 3rd year of med school,
and there’s no time for hair.
I LOVE being natural,
but sometimes I find
That my lovely kinks and curls,
leave me in a bind.
I need products that hold moisture,
in my hair from day to day
I need products that deliver,
and do just what they say.
My time is not my own
so effectiveness is key
I need Miss Jessie’s to help show,
the natural beauty that is me.

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! Why? Because my mother and I are the only natural ladies in my entire family! While her hair is springy and silky to the touch, mine coils tightly and seems impermeable to most moisturizers. My sister always asks me why I never do more natural styles with my hair, (I switch between hand combing out the fro and two-strand twists when I can afford them), and it’s because my hair snaps under a few strokes of the comb. I’m this close to cutting off all the length I’ve gained in this past year just to avoid having to deal with all this breakage. Help me avoid the big chop!
Kaki
I need Ms. Jessie’s in my life PLEEEASE! I chopped off my hair last March and have fallen in love with the real me. BUT, my hair is dry and it needs the TLC other products can’t give it. I’ve recently moved to the biting cold of the East Midlands of England after living in extreme conditions in Japan. I love travelling, but it seems that my hair does not! I’ve used natural products, mainstream products and home made ones, and my hair is still thirsty. I know my hair can be much more than the dry, tangled mess it sometimes is. Please Afrobella, help it reach its full potential!
Staynatural
I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! I shamefully submit that I was considering returning to the ” creamy crack!” I hid my natural hair under ponytails and super hold gels and now it is brittle and dry. I have decided to stay natural and have had to cut off all of the length that I worked so hard to keep during my transition. I owe it to my hair to help it return to it’s former glory. Also I have not found one product yet that can make it soft and shiny. I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life. My conditioning has been conditioned. (and conditioned a little bit more some days the way my hair feels!) My hair has been breaking off and I need a good conditioner to rapidly recover the lovely curls I had previously. 🙂

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!
I’m now 2 years into my naturally curly fro and I LOVE it. I’m learning, though, that at each new stage of growth, I have to relearn how to manage it. Each new length requires more attention and different products for my various conditioning and styling needs. I’m now at a length that requires more combing and detangling than before and I’m at a loss for an effective product that makes this process painless and fast. Combing through the tangles can be much easier for me with Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery Treatment and I’d LOVE to try it.
Thanks Afrobella!

I’m in need of some Miss Jessie’s in my life. I’ve had my hair in it’s natural state for 7 years and have been dealing with split ends like it is no one’s business. I loose length every month due to this. I’ve bought, created, and tested everything I could think of to help condition my hair, but I an still left with breakage and splits. I’m on a quest to retain length and finding the right conditioner will do that for me. I’m tired of dusting ends, weekly conditioning and daily moisturizing and still seeing my length disappear before my eyes. And now with Chi-town winter upon me, my hair and I am thirsty for something new. Please help us recover.
Suburbanbushbabe
I’d feel a lot better about the Miss Jessie’s line if the ingredients on their products didn’t begin with Mineral oil/Paraffinum liquidium.
Regarding Kinky-Curly, I am loving the combination of Knot Today and Curling Custard for silky, hydrated, 4a hair that has [gasp] bounce. I don’t buy the products from the Kinky-Curly site, having been one of the customers who received bad service. Paying $10 for shipping, I expected the product to come in a box or at the very least a padded envelope, not unpadded in a Tyvek envelope. That experience and the lack of response I got to my followup with their customer service soured me on KC and their products. It was almost a year before I again tried a sample with the Knot Today and loved it.
The hair care field is very competitive. Treat a customer’s order with care and you will retain that customer. Be non-responsive and careless and you will lose that customer forever.

I need Ms. Jessie’s in my life, well actually my daughter’s life STAT! She’s an athlete and she is in the process of transitioning out of perms. Right, now she is wearing braids and is going to do the big chop this spring! I wouldn’t mind trying it for myself also!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!
I go to school in southern illinois, but I live in Chicago. I’ve been at home for a few days and this weather is destroying my hair. I know when I come home for chirstmas, that wind off of the lake is going to dry my hair out! Plus I just went natural and I can’t seem to find a deep conditioner that works yet! Pick me!!

“I need Miss Jessie’s in my life!†The harsh winter of Ohio has already started and I need a good deep conditioner to help me retain moisture. I only wash my hair twice a week because it is so long and thick it takes forever to dry. I cannot run around in the cold with a wet head. By the time I do wash, my hair is so tangled, it takes me a good half an hour and lots of detanglers, conditioners and water just to get through every section.

I need Miss Jessies in my life to tamemy daughter’s hair. SHe had a perm a few years(a decision that I as her mother made ..but regret with all my being)and she has been natural for the last 3 years. This year will pose a challenge – not only are we dealing with the harsh winter in the wood in NJ BUT she just completedmarching band season -and the hat that she has worn as part of her uniform for the past 4 months seems to have done a job on making her thick hair drier and in desperate need of repair! Pls help my baby 🙂

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! My hair was first relaxed when I was 11. 10 years later I released the creamy crack and go natural. Five years later while in graduate school, I went back to the relaxer because I did not have the time or the money to properly manage my tresses in the DC humidity. My hair began to fall out EVERYWHERE! Now that I’m back home, my hair is shedding again. I’ve tried a few moisturizers, but my hair keeps shedding, shedding, shedding. I don’t want to cut my hair until I get a more manageable length but it’s beginning to seem like cutting is in my near future. I NEED, NEED, NEED Miss Jessie’s in my life, but I can’t afford the larger sizes at the moment. I definately plan on trying some of the sample sizes soon hoping that the sizes are enought for more than a couple of uses. Thanks afrobella. (BTW, love the name 🙂

I NEED MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE!!! I recently took a family vacation to San Diego and the mountain air created havoc with this poor Texas girl’s hair. My hair has never felt so brittle. If it doesn’t get any better I’m sure I’ll end up having to do a major trim. I know Miss Jessie can work a miracle, but there is no way I can spend $$$ on the products on a colleges student budget. Afrobella, please help me out!

I really don’t know how to make my comment stand out; hope repeating it five times helped. Down to business: everyday i comb and condition-wash my hair in the shower. I leave a film of conditioner on it to keep in moisturized. So often i would like to style my hair out of the shower but the curls would get so frizzy that i would either have to put it in a bun w/ tons of gel or blow-dry it out in a ‘fro (it’s cute but damaging after a while). I have 4b type hair- so the curls that were shoulder length and a bit loose when i get out the shower, turn into a shriveled up,unhealthy-looking, hot mess at the end of the day:D! Mainly because i don’t have a thick promade for my natural curly’fro. Plus i love to dye my hair golden blonde- so the damaged ends really show up. So, holla if you hear me!!!

I need Miss Jessie in my life ’cause i’ve worn my hair natural for yrs, but i can’t seem to keep my tightly coiled hair from breakage along the hairline. my hair has to be at least 2 inches longer in the back. this is not cute ugh! ’tis the season here in the northeast also for dry scalp.

I NEEDZ MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE because my baby fro is starting to look like a BRILLO PAD. I workout a lot and even though I don’t shampoo every week, I do rinse and condition. However, I have yet to find a good DEEEP condish for my 4a/b (blend of coils, curls, & poofs). I’ve tried the curly meringue and it didnt do much for my hair, but I’m going get the buy 1 get 1 buttercream for daily use (i heard it’s really good without the oily/greasy feel). HOOK ME UP W/ RAPID RECOVERY BELLA!

I need Miss Jessie in my life because i have been an afrobella for 6 years now ,and i have the most unrully hair you can have.It knotts up on the ends ,and nothing that I use give me permanent detangling results.Did you notice i said a word with perm in it ,because if i do not find something soon i am going back.I can not do this anymore without some help.I have tried a lot of products ,but they do not give me the results that i need. There is always hair in my comb ,because the detanglers do not work for me.Let me be the one to try this product to see if it works, because this is my last hope.I do not want to go back to perm ,but i feel like i have run out of options.

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! Afrobella, I am a muslim woman who wears hijaab (Islamic head covering for women) whenever I leave out the house. The combination of underscarves and headcovers reaks havoc on my natural head. Twelve years ago, while in college, I decided that I wanted cut all the relaxer out of my hair. I have been enjoying my type 4A hair ever since but being a Muslim woman I am limited in the hair salons that I can visit which leaves me with having to maintain my own hair. I am going to keep it real Afrobella, I’ve got a husband to impress when he gets home at night and I need to look good! So I hope you can help a sister out and share some Miss Jessie! I really enjoy your blog!!

Just kidding! We’re already in the negatives over here- and my is screaming for the tropics! I’m a wash and go-er because I have zero skills when it comes to putting braids or other protective styles in my hair… so have mercy on my locks!
Thanks!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! I live in the cold wilds of upstate NY, near Canada. Below-zero wind chill factors can really do a number on natural hair, so I’m trying to be proactive and use products that will protect and pamper my precious strands. If the Rapid Recovery Treatment is all that you say it is, then I need to be down, for real….LOL. Thanks!

Bella you know that whenever you write something about those Miss Jessies ladies your comment section blows up.
I think I will try this product when my hair grows a tad bit longer.

I NEED Miss Jessies in my life!!!! Help Afrobella I have two beautiful kinky curly natural haired daughters. It is soooooo hard combing out their hair for school and to make it worse their hair texture is dry so it not only takes forever but is uncomfortable for them. I want my little ladies to grow up feeling good about their natural hair. And plus being a mom of 5 it would just make my life a whole lot easier! 🙂 Thanks

I feel I need Miss Jessie’s in my life. Just recently I had a fiasco with my hair. I had it straightened to get the ends trimmed and it was pretty at first. But after I wet my hair a section of it would not revert and the heat lossened some of my curl pattern! So if you please I would like to try it to see if it will work for me!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my Life! I purchased the Pudding and the Buttercream w/free sample of rapid recovery and was so satisfied with the results that I shared my products with other naturals and now I don’t have anymore. I will definitely benefit from the tub of Rapid Recovery. My hair has been a hot mess and it is desperately waiting for another order of Miss Jessie’s products ever since I ran out after sharing my valuabe products with others. I tried other products, but nothing could compare to what Miss jessie’s did to my hair. Miss Jessie’s in my life brought me frizz control, bounce, shine, beautiful curl formations, and a hair routine that I would love to continue with. Thank you Miss Jessie!

I’ve been natural for 12 years as of yesterday. Outside of a salon, I am about as close to a natural hair expert as you can get. I have been an online natural hair advocate since 1999 and am one of the original members of Nappturality. I have worn almost every natural hair style known to afrobellas, including locs, and have a great deal of expertise in loving and caring for the very type of hair that the majority of black women (including some in this comments section, apparently) seem hell-bent on avoiding: good old-fashioned classic “4b” little-to-no-definition-having hair, which has just as much right to its moments in the sun (wind, rain, snow, etc.) as any other hair type.
Truthfully, I don’t need Miss Jessie’s in my life. But because I’m curious…and because, having quit a lucrative career in IT to pursue my dream of becoming a serious writer, my income isn’t as disposable as it used to be…and because I can guarantee more sales for Miss Branch if I’m able to demonstrate that this product works for sisters with my kind of hair who have realistic expectations about it…I would LIKE to invite Miss Jessie’s into my life.

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life! I am a college student and the only girl with natural hair in my family, so hair products are super costly for my broke self. I use cheap dandruff shampoo and vaseline, which I know are not good in the long run. I am so glad the opportunity to get something proper for my hair has come. My fingers are *crossed*

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life. My hair is growing longer and longer. I am looking for different styling options, moisture, and I loved the pics on Miss Jessie’s website. Right now, I love wearing a big, wild fro, but I pity anyone who sits behind me lol. Her products may expand my options.

Wow this product sounds amazing and I could use “The Business” right about now when the Chicago cold has no moisture in the air and my hair is full of static from my hats that are a must these days.

I NEED Miss Jessies in my life to share with my seven beautiful nieces ages 3 to 13. Honestly Bella I will buy Miss Jessies Rapid Recovery Treatment to use for myself but please help the babies! They need the deep conditioning of Rapid Recovery a.s.a.p. but I just can’t swing it financially for both them and me!
Bella, my dear s-i-l believes in relaxers and texturizers for kids (I know, it’s heartbreaking) – this past summer she gave the 7 year old a texturizer now all of her hair has broken off…to the nub. When I saw her at Thanksgiving her hair was a matted mess, so were the 2 youngest. The older kids all had relaxers all of their hair was dry as straw. I did the best I could with Pantene and Cholesterol conditioners but none of them did the trick like I Rapid Recovery will.
My nieces hair texture is similar to mine 4xyz something or another so I know that with Rapid Recovery plus my marathon hair washing, conditioning and braiding session we will bring these baby bella’s hair back to it’s natural glory.
I need MISS JESSIES in my life to show my nieces the beauty and resilience of their natural hair.

I need Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery in my life because my hair is fried, dyed, and laid to the side (in a bad way). I’ve put color is my hair this summer and I’m giving my hair a much needed break for the winter. Not only am I keeping it conditioned, I’m LEAVING IT ALONE! This Rapid Recovery would help me in my process of rejuvenating my napptural crown!

I Need Miss Jessie’s in my Life!!! I’m an all natural bella who is struggling with the change in water and weather. I moved to Atlanta a little over a year ago but my hair (and skin) are still suffering. My ends are way more dry than they were when I lived in the midwest. Having dry ends makes it hard to retain my length. Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery sounds just like what my hair needs at the moment.
Oh and did I mention that I’m a broke graduate student that can not afford to try new products 🙁 Please help!

I NEED Miss Jessie’s in my life!!!
Afrobella, I am a struggling college student who is at her wit’s end with her hair! While i love my mane, I am too busy and too poor to keep up with it! My hair has begun to dry out and break due to stress & the fact that I have NO money to buy anything other than a 99 cent bottle of Suave Coconut Conditioner! I am working two jobs & looking for a 3rd b/c I have to put myself through college & consequently have little or no $ to spend on my hair. To save $ i have been making home treatments w/ olive oil, yogurt, etc & trying to improvise, but that only goes so far. I would LOVE to receive some help in this area, b/c quite frankly, i have been considering relaxing my hair since i don’t have the money or time or products to help maintain my mane. My birthday was a week ago & while i was planning on buying a few hair products w/ any $ i received, it all had to go to paying my tuition & credit card bills, so i was unable to buy any hair products. I do not mean to complain or burden you, & i’m embarrassed to put my financial struggles out here on the web, but I’m just being honest with you. It would be such a blessing to me if I won a jar of Rapid Recovery, I would probably cry! Thanks for considering me!

I need Miss Jessie’s in my life. I have been natural for 7 years. Just as I got past shoulder-length, my hair began to snap, crackle, pop and get lighter. I have tried everything to nurse my hair back to health without much luck. I finally cut my hair back to neck length last month (it hurt so bad!) and I would like to add Rapid Recovery to nurse my hair back to health. Thank you for your consideration.

I NEED MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE! because my hair, my once beautiful, silky curls were recently damaged by hair coloring. I now have strands of curls that break, split off at the ends and lie lifeless and limp and screaming for help. I’ve tried all different kinds of deep treatments on the market just trying to get my hair to what is was before. And unfortunately nothing has helped my tresses. I have spent many a days crying over my once beautiful mane of flowing curls. The worst part is I get people saying your hair looks different or what happened to your hair. As a result I have succumbed to wearing hats daily covering my hair soaked in conditioner covered with a plastic cap in hopes of getting my hair back. I would really love to try Miss Jessies and hope this will be the answer to my prays. I’ve actually thought about cutting my hair to the scalp because nothing seems to stop the breakage. The worst part is the dry, parched feeling of my hair. It feels hard and looks hard if thats even possible. When you mentioned Miss Jessies I almost fell out of bed at 4:00am in the morning because maybe this will work for me. Thanks for considering me in advance! I think this maybe the miracle product I’m searching for. Hope you had a great thanksgiving!

I need Ms. Jessie’s in my life! I have been natural for 5 months, and have yet to find a deep treatment for my curly thin hair that works. I went to a hair salon yesterday, and the stylist indicated that my hair was extremely dry, and that I would need to start hair steaming treatments right away. The dryness is primarily on the ends where I’m growing out highlights. I had to have 2 inches cut off yesterday. I’m so tired of buying the next great product to find out that it doesn’t work. I do not want to do another BC. It was Miss Jessie’s website and the Before and After pictures, which inspired me to go natural, now I’m hoping that they can help me find away to keep my natural hair healthy.

I NEED MISS JESSIE’S IN MY LIFE! I’ve been transitioning for eleven months and I am due to big chop in two weeks. I have heard wonderful things about Miss Jessie’s products, and I would love to try them on my soon to be shorn hair. I can’t think of a better way to begin my new hair journey with a fabulous product that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to purchase (I’m a college kid on a very tight budget). Thank you Afrobella!

I NEED Ms. Jessie’s in my life because this is my first winter rocking an all natural do and my hair is like a desert. I live in Minnesota so the winters are harsh and after a Thanksgiving weekend with family feeling my hair and saying “it’s like a sponge!” I think I need a miracle. As a college student… the cheaper the miracle the better.

I need Ms. Jessie’s in my life!
Afrobella help a sister out… I’m a college student with no time to take proper care of my hair and as a result I look a HOT MESS 24/7! On top of that I’m going to go abroad next semester to Europe, far from familiar salons and products… what’s a natural girl to do?

I NEED Miss Jessie’s in my life! I am the mother of three young boys who are active in various activities–which generally means very little “me” time. My natural hair has suffered because my weekly deep conditioner beauty sessions have completely been tossed out the window. I’m thinking that if I won the Miss Jessie’s, it would make me make time for myself. Plus with Christmas coming up and three little ones…money is already tight at this point, so I can’t even imagine squeezing in funds for beauty products!
I love your site, by the way. I generally lurk, but I really enjoy your posts as well as the comments from your readers. Thanks for considering me. 🙂
