Everybody always has to come up with a comparison, this person is the next so and so, or this person is like this person with a little someone else thrown in. Amy is good at being Amy and that should be enough. I love her albums, you can feel her life in her lyrics. As for Sharon Jones, I found out about her while doing research on Amy Winehouse and she is baaaaaad! While I love Amy's music, I do not think Lauryn Hill would be singing about being in alcohol-induced stupor much of the record, referring to "Back to Black." I think that "Frank" and "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" are kinda similar thematically, but not really.
